House Call Healthcare For Your Pet
After owning his own veterinarian hospital for over 20 years, Dr. Jeffrey E. Nix desired to go back to spending time with his client and patients one on one as a mobile veterinarian. He partnered with his wife Mary, a certified dog trainer for 20 years, to bring expertise in all areas of animal care. They are thrilled to call the Nocatee, FL area “home.”

VACCINATIONS
Door2DoorVet is pleased to offer wellness examinations and preventative vaccinations for your dogs and cats. We believe that vaccination protocols should be tailored for each individual patient and will work with you to develop the best protocol for your pet, including any necessary testing, heartworm preventatives and flea/tick medications.
TRAINING
Let us help you speak “dog” with private sessions which are available to guide you in establishing a well-balanced relationship with your pet. It’s never too early to imprint positive behavior, and never too late to change unwanted behaviors.
CONSULTATIONS
We are pleased to offer both wellness and sick patient consultations in which we will fully evaluate your pet before offering our treatment plan. We are available by phone, text or email and do offer limited emergency services. However, in some cases, the best course of treatment may be referral to a traditional brick and mortar hospital. For continuity of care for your pet, Doc has hospital privileges at several local veterinarian facilities in order to perform radiographs, dental and any necessary surgical procedures.
DIAGNOSTICS
Door2DoorVet services include various diagnostic services such as heartworm tests, fecal tests, complete blood panels, therapeutic drug monitoring and cytology samples sent to Antech Diagnostic Laboratories.
IN-HOME EUTHANASIA
Doc truly believes that the last and greatest gift we can give our pet is the gift of no more pain and suffering. Making this emotional decision is extremely difficult and we are honored to be here to help answer your questions and guide you along the decision-making process. We believe strongly that if it is at all possible, granting this gift in the comfort and privacy of your own home is the preferred choice. Except in rare cases, we will give an intramuscular injection of a sedative to keep your pet comfortable. After you and your pet are ready, we will administer the euthanasia medication, which usually works very rapidly and painlessly. We will help you coordinate with a local cremation service to be available during this difficult time and preferably, stay with you until they leave. This is a difficult decision and we are here to help answer your questions and needs.
